With our fingers on the pulse of what is important to you, we are hearing from so many coaches who are sharing their experiences and have questions about virtual programming best practices. And as we know, the virtual DPP is booming during the COVID pandemic; and many are realizing the value in using this platform.
It is clear to us at the State of Wellness and the NDPP….the virtual DPP is here to stay! We are discovering so many resources along the way and love to share these. Some are already posted on the NDPP CSC; and others we’ve discovered and share on the State of Wellness Resources page>category: Virtual Programming Tools and Resources.
Let’s highlight the various resources available to you!
- Review the past few State of Wellness posts, including various resource links–
- A post summarizing the NDPP Webinar: “Delivering From a Distance: Reaching People at Home with the National Diabetes Prevention Program”. Great walk through on “getting started” in a virtual platform, with specific guidelines for the DPP.
- Virtual Programming Tips The Kindness Resource and Distance/Remote Learning FAQs
- The LATEST—
- NDPP: The Guide for Using Telehealth Technology–The purpose of this guidance document is to provide users with information about what is needed to implement different telehealth technologies and to provide specific implementation considerations for each technology. Some of the topics….getting started, organizational and participant needs for implementation, overview of types of technology used (phone, video, multiple technologies, etc)
- CTRC Telehealth Program Developer Kit The California Telehealth Resource Center (CTRC), a resource center specializing in telemedicine and telehealth program development, responds to hundreds of assistance requests from around the globe. We often hear from organizations interested in starting telehealth programs who think telehealth sounds valuable but need to know what steps to take to get a telehealth program started. The goal of the Program Developer is to allow new programs to learn from the experience of others, to reduce trial and error, and most of all to create successfully operating telemedicine programs. It can easily be adapted and customized to the size and formality of your program.
