*Check out the major insurers in your area. Find out if they cover DPP! Remember, however, when someone registers and mentions coverage for the DPP, it’s very important the participant calls the number on back of the insurance card to confirm!!
*Connect with the mid to larger employers in your area—and especially initiate a conversation with the HR rep. It comes down their “bottom line”….and the COST of doing nothing!
*As you have conversations with insurance company and employer representatives, take advantage of and explore the many CDC/NDPP reimbursement tools and guidance posted on the State of Wellness Resources Page–. Look for the categories: “NDPP Toolkits” and “DPP Partnerships, Reimbursement, Billing, and Coding“. Here you will find a wide variety of tools, guidance, and resources to engage insurers and business owners, including reimbursement strategies.
