The DPRP Data Submission Portal…..

The DPRP Data Submission Portal “is provided by the Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program (DPRP) to CDC-recognized organizations. Once logged in, you will be able to upload, validate, correct, and submit your data files. In addition, you will be provided the opportunity to generate reports that will assist you in monitoring your participants.”  It is an interactive tool helping you streamline the data validation process. In the traditional data submission process, DPP Coordinators submit data through a CSV spreadsheet every 6 months. Not a “difficult” process, but the required details can be easily missed or accidentally entered incorrectly. It happens! Using the DPRP Data Submission Portal, we can validate and make basic corrections to a file before it is submitted to the CDC.

How this works: Once you submit data through this portal, the CDC will run a series of additional validations. If the file is rejected, the organization will have an opportunity to make the necessary corrections and then resubmit again.

How do I get started? First you will need to create a SAMS account–CDC’s Secure Access Management System (SAMS). You must be invited, registered with a SAMS account, and authorized in order to use the Data Submission Portal.

SAMS Account Registration & Authorization

If you do not have a SAMS user name and password, please reach out to the CDC National DPP Customer Service Center: NationalDPPAsk@cdc.gov. Once you are verified as a contact for your organization, you will receive an “Invitation to Register” email to register with the SAMS Partner Portal from Sams-No-Reply (CDC) <sams-no-reply@cdc.gov>. Refer to the SAMS Registration User Guide for help with registration. You have 30 days to submit your registration.

Once you submit your registration online, the CDC SAMS Administrator will approve & you will receive two emails, 1) CDC SAMS Account Registration “SAMS Account Activation” and 2) “SAMS Activity Authorization” granting access to the DPRP Data Submission Portal with links. The approval should take no longer than 3 business days.

Once you have a SAMS account, how do I get started? Once approved you will have access to enter data into the DPRP Data Submission Portal.   The National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) looks forward to your data submission and assisting you in successfully delivering the lifestyle change program.

If you run into challenges, questions, or roadblocks, take a look at SAMS help.

If you have any questions about the information on the Data Profiler page, or the errors, format errors, or quality checks in the Error Details CSV or on the Edit Records page, please contact DPRPData@cdc.gov.

If you encounter an application error, please contact the Application Help Desk (CDC) at NCCDPHPApplHelpDesk@cdc.gov. Include any screenshots and steps to reproduce the issue. The Application Help Desk will reach out to you within 2 business days.

Once you are set up and begin using the DPRP Data Submission Portal, it will be another tool to support your efforts in NDPP data collection and submission!
